Thanks to Margret Rudd K. for contributing these photos. She sent me this information in an email.
"Did you know that your (great) grandmother did not go by Sarah, but was called "Carrie" which was apparently a nickname for Catherine? She was so tiny.... My first visit to the ranch was when I was 8 yrs. old - summer of 1937. Your (great) grandfather (William Frey) was very hard of hearing, so he was fitted for a hearing aid by a traveling salesman. Nothing fancy. There was a metal bandeau to go over the head with a receiver to be positioned on the bone behind the ear. The bone conducted a magnified the sound. Anyway, he decided that I did the best job of helping him get it positioned just right, so all summer he would call for "that kid" to find and adjust his hearing aid. My Rupp family came the summer of 1940.

Various and sundry ancestors...

William Frey, b. 20 May 1857, in Syracuse, Onondaga, New York. He is the father of George Peter Frey.

Peter Ebb (Epp) and Sylvia Ann Johnson, parents of Sara Catherine Ebb, mother of George Peter Frey.

Magdaline M. Oot and John George Frey, parents of William Frey above.

My Dad (Lloyd Frey) thinks this is a picture of his aunt, Ruth Adeline Frey daughter of William Frey. We wondered if the older woman was Charlotte May Frey but Margret Rudd K. sent the information below. Thank you Margret! My Dad was hesitant in identifying the older woman so Margret's input confirmed his hesitation.

If anyone has other information please let me know.

(The following information came from Margret Rudd K. an adopted granddaughter of John C. Donahue and Charlotte May Frey Donahue.)

"Sorry to say that the one may be of Ruth (Frey) Hardebeck, but not with Charlotte, nor with any of the Frey sisters. Lottie was taller, and , and looked a bit like Eleanor Roosevelt. Grace and Mabel were much smaller than the woman in that pic. The dresses and gloves look a bit like mourning clothes. Could this be Ruth's mother-in-law?"
